THE SELF-CLEANING PRAYER MAT

Before Your Next Sajdah, There’s Something You Should Know.

You share prayer mats and prayer carpets with people carrying respiratory infections. A single sneeze can release up to 40,000 respiratory droplets landing on your private prayer space

Hajjenic prayer mats actively self-clean within two hours—working between prayers  session so you return to a fresher surface for every sajdah.

Why Masjid al-Haram Takes Cleanliness Taken So Seriously?

At the Grand Mosque in Makkah, cleanliness doesn’t stop at what the eye can see.

  • 150,000+ litres of disinfectant are used daily

  • The Grand Mosque is washed 10 times a day

  • 20,000 prayer rugs are cleaned and sanitized daily

Why such extraordinary care?

Because prayer surfaces experience constant contact—Feet. Socks. Hands. Moisture. Respiratory droplets. Bacteria. Viruses. Other invisible microbes, and thousands of worshippers every day.

Of course, your prayer mat doesn’t receive millions of visitors.

But your hands, forehead and face still return to it again and again.

And unlike Masjid al-Haram…

You don’t have workers  cleaning your prayer mat throughout the day.

That’s why Hajjenic was created.

Dirt is visible. Microbes aren’t.

BUILT FOR THE WAY WE PRAY.

Five times a day. At home. Shoulder to shoulder. Ramadan nights . Umrah among millions from around the world.

Hajjenic’s ViralOff®-treated textile works on the surface between salah sessions, helping your mat stay fresher for the next sajdah.

How did you choose your current prayer mat?

You can choose a prayer mat because you like its colour.

You can choose one because it is soft.

You can choose one because the pattern looks beautiful.

But now you can ask one more question:

“What does my mat do between my prayers?”

With an ordinary prayer mat, the answer is simple.

Nothing.

We Didn’t Just Make Another Prayer Mat. We Upgraded What a Prayer Mat Can Do.

To create Hajjenic, we partnered with Polygiene®, using its ViralOff® textile technology, and worked with one of Turkey’s leading prayer-mat manufacturers to bring advanced textile science into something Muslims use every single day.

The result?

A traditional prayer mat enhanced with proprietary active textile chemistry.

Instead of simply sitting there between prayers, Hajjenic is designed to actively self-clean its treated surface within two hours—working while you’re away, so you can return to a fresher surface for your next sajdah.*

The prayer mat has been around for generations.
We believed it was time to upgrade it.

You Wouldn’t Share Your Towel With Everyone

A towel repeatedly touches your face and hands, so naturally you care who uses it.

Your prayer mat repeatedly meets your hands and entire face.

Yet we often treat it like ordinary floor covering.

If someone at home has the sniffles, the mat may still be shared.

If you take it to the masjid, it may sit over carpet used by an entire congregation.

Then it comes home again.

“I’ll Just Put a Scarf Over It.”

You can.

But the scarf is still passive fabric.

And now it needs cleaning too.

Congratulations. You may have invented a smaller prayer mat.

“Then I’ll Wash My Mat More Often.”

You should.

But are you washing it between Dhuhr and Asr?

Probably not.

That is the real gap.

Not whether your prayer mat is ever cleaned—

but what happens between prayers.

That Is Where Hajjenic Changes the Equation

Hajjenic uses active textile technology designed to self-clean the treated fabric within two hours, helping reduce tested microbes between prayer sessions.

12:30 PM — Dhuhr
You finish salah.

2:30 PM
The two-hour test period has passed.

4:00 PM — Asr
You return.

Hajjenic has already had time to do its job.

Ordinary prayer mats wait for laundry day.
Hajjenic works while you’re away.

How it works

Using silver chloride, a naturally occurring element in nature, it creates a barrier that prevents microbes from multiplying. It gets to work within two hours of application and continues to work for as long as it remains on the surface of the textile. Fully tested and authenticated by international ISO standards, it’s safe to use against the skin in a wide range of applications. Here are just a few of the different ways that our partners have applied Polygiene ViralOff™ to their products to create antimicrobial fabrics and textiles.

FROM TAHĀRA TO TECHNOLOGY

For centuries, Muslim innovators turned the pursuit of cleanliness, medicine and knowledge into progress. Hajjenic carries that spirit forward with modern textile science designed for the prayer surface.
